What is FluteWild! Camp?
FluteWild! Camp is a summer day camp for flute players--school age and adults. Located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, FluteWild! Camp provides an opportunity for students to grow as musicians and learn more about the flute by working on sound and technique, playing new music, and learning one-on-one with a flute instructor. Students also have the opportunity to try different instruments of the flute family from the piccolo to the bass flute. Flutewild's Faculty include professional flute instructors from Eau Claire with years of teaching experience. They have designed this camp to inspire young players while improving their flute playing. We hope you will join us this year at FluteWild Camp!

Melissa Willis
Melissa has enjoyed teaching both piano and flute students for the past 30 years. Her teaching career began in Eau Claire, but over the past 20 years, she’s had successful studios in Chicago, Iowa City, Indianapolis, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Most recently, she has returned to her Wisconsin roots and maintains a thriving in-person and online teaching studio at First Presbyterian Church in Eau Claire. Melissa received her B.A. degree in Music Performance from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and completed Masters coursework in Flute and Piano Pedagogy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. In the past, she has served as adjunct faculty at Belmont University and Freewill Bible Baptist College, summer faculty for the Shell Lake Arts Center and the Northland Youth Music Program, and played with the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra, subs with the Chippewa Valley Symphony and for Sunday morning church services at First Presbyterian Church in Eau Claire. Melissa is thrilled to be “back home” in Wisconsin and excited for her first summer teaching at FluteWild!
